He is to return to the place where he started his career, as a practising barrister in his home city of Cork.... Before leaving, he has made a significant donation of his own work to WIT libraries which mainly consist of books on Law, along with the occasional book of poetry also included. Dr. Keating is acknowledged as an expert in the field on probate and succession law as well as jurisprudence... He has an international reputation so the donation to WIT Libraries will be of considerable benefit to Law students in the areas mentioned and the fact that he has several volumes of poetry as well makes him a most accomplished polymath; accompanying photo show the spines of some of his books including: Keating on probate, The law and practice of personal representatives, Equitable succession rights, and Selected poems)
