The '321 Water' is an attractive personal water purifier aimed at health-conscious women. 'Tear Lab' is a non-invasive medical tool for measuring salt levels in tears. The Australian designers of these products talk frankly about their design process, and share their prototypes and development drawings in this programme. The designers consider not only ergonomics and functionality, but also the aesthetic elements of design such as line, colour, shape, form, texture, symmetry, and proportion. This is all underlined with design theory, providing an excellent examination of the principles of good design.
