The authors of this book, all of whom are specialists in their respective fields, have identified various stages in a lawyer's career. The analysis starts with entry into university and finishes with a review of the most senior lawyers. At the various stages, formal and informal barriers are identified and their consequences spelt out. Many of the authors include original data and the findings of their own survey work to support their conclusions. - Back cover
