"In 1991, the first publication of "Social Tourism" was launched in Europe. In 1995, this journal took its name of "Tourism Systems, Tourism Environments, and Tourism Cultures". In the year 2000, it became "Tourism". It took almost a decade to widen the range of subjects covered and especially to make tourism the field of research. Tourism Review had since then covered a wide range of themes: Natural Reserves in Europe, the Organization of Tourism Networks, Imaginary and Tourism, Customers and Strategies, and Tourism and Inheritance. These titles clearly show the evolution of the publication towards an interdisciplinary approach, which today its strength and its attraction." Cover page.
